Truck and Trailer Rentals

To rent a truck, van or trailer you will need a valid drivers licence and a major credit card. You will also need to be over the age of 20. If you are under 25 you can rent our vehicles, but you would be required to purchase our mandatory under 25 insurance. Unfortunately at this time we are also unable to accept international drivers licences.
Onsite parking is limited. If you are picking up a vehicle it's best to get dropped off or have someone come with you who can remove the vehicle. We are also not a 24 hour facility, so your vehicle would be locked inside our gates after closing.
Yes! all of our vehicle rentals include your first 50 km of driving. Additional charges incur for all km after the first 50.
Everyone's insurance is different. Our trucks and trailers are registered and insured as commercial fleet rental vehicles. We recommend consulting your insurance provider before renting. We do offer an optional collision damage waiver that would limit your liability in the case of any damages.
Unfortunately no. We are, and have been for 40 years, a family owned single location. Our trucks belong to us and need to be returned to Sunnyside Truck Rentals during business hours.
Sunnyside prides itself on being a secure facility. Our gates are locked at 8 pm every night and a perimeter alarm is set. As such, we unfortunately cannot accept any vehicle returns after closing. Vehicles that are scheduled back before closing that fail to return must be returned the following morning and may incur additional charges.


Units are rented monthly, with a one-month minimum contract. Your individual storage locker is secured by your own padlock; you lock it, you keep the key
All tenants are assigned a gate code to give them access to the buildings. Access is limited to the hours when our front gates are open. Our fully fenced yard is well lit with motion detecting lights, and is equipped with security cameras and a perimeter alarm system.
Yes, we will prorate your rent to your move in date
Yes, we require 10 days of notice prior to you vacating your unit. We will prorate your refund to your move out date.
For Storage our contactless payment options include: Automatic billing on most major credit cards, PAD payments directly from your bank account, post dated cheques. In office we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Apple Pay, Cheques & Cash. Truck and Van Rentals may require a credit card to complete your dispatch, however we are happy to accept debit or cash upon completion of rental.

Yes, we will reserve a unit for you for up to 24 hours
We have a limited number of heated units on our property, they are all 9x10
Yes, we have secure dry storage for vehicles inside our roll-up units. Maximum 24’ length. Doors are either 7’ or 8’ high on some units. Sorry, we do not provide outside storage or long term parking.
Currently we do not offer contents insurance for our tenants. If you want to insure the contents of your unit we recommend doing that through your own personal home insurance.

Moving Supplies

No, our prices are very competitive when comparing quality products
We will accept returns of any unused boxes or merchandise within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt from our office.
We do not sell used boxes. Our boxes are high quality and are encouraged to be reused and recycled. We do have a cardboard recycling bin on site as well.
We will return any unused boxes or merchandise purchased from Sunnyside within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt
